Near Harbortown

If they are the twin oak villas on Plantation Drive in Sea Pines, then they are townhome style units. These are a bit from the beach. You would have to drive to the beach, bike to beach or in summer months use the Sea Pines trolley. It is not in walking distance. From the pictures I have seen, the insides are not very upscale.

Resorts: Swallowtail HHI, Foxrun NC, Villa del Mar PV
Twin Oaks are 2 and 3 br townhouse units. Only a few units are timeshare and the complex is pretty quiet. They are close to Harbour Town. I would stay there because I like BIG units.

twin oaks villas?? Hilton Head

Anyone stay here? There is no review ( or even listing) on tug. No reviews or listings on redweek.

We just booked a 3 bedroom for Easter vacation.

Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake.

Anyone advise?

Sorry...the listing on the tug reviews indicate there in a page for MTO ( Marriott Twin Oaks), but the page opens to nothing.

THere is a review here:

http://tug2.com/RnR/RatingsAndReview...D-6454C7067A29

but it is dated 1998 under Sea Pines Plantation ( MNH ) which stands for MArriott Night Heron ( Also no longer a Marriott).

I think in order for tug to save server space in the 90s, it posted all the reviews of the Marriott Saturday Villas ( Now Sea Pines Plantation rentals) in one grouping, and many who stayed could not find where to post.

( Both the II & RCI book also seemed to group the many M coded HHI units together under Sea Pines Plantation.

Brian has been informed that the link leads to a dead page.

Resorts: Marriott's Grande Ocean (3 weeks) & Barony Beach Club (2 weeks); TUG member since mid-90's
a previous active tugger named Greg Stralka loved that place...because of him, I went over to have a look while he was there, and it's nice...very spacious and a nice location, altho it's not near the beach. i would say it's not plush, but better than average. It's a few blocks from Harbour Town, which is a good quiet location. The 3-BR's are really big.

Greg and I used to go round and round about Marriott vs everything else...and i was always adamant about Marriott's superiority, and he sarcastically ripped Marriott ...i'm still right, but Greg and i are dear friends now, and still email almost weekly, and we hook up whenever we can at HHI...and our families/kids know each other's names...it's pretty cool to have become friends like we did! We prefer different kinds of units, but that's not a big deal anymore.....jme
