We just got an exchange for Loon Mountain in August 2007. I've read (mostly here) that it's not the most luxurious place -- that's ok, it seems to be centrally located and as long as it's decent, we're ok. (Our kids will be 7 1/2 and 4 1/2 -- all the family stuff seems to be nearby).
Our biggest concern is the fact that the units have no air conditioning and we will be there in August (10-17). How hot is NH that time of year? We're from southern NY (outside NYC) and keep our AC fullblast that time of year. Thanks for your help/advice. Melissa and Greg Last edited by TravelerMel : November 14, 2006 at 11:33 PM. |

Air Conditioning
Hi,
We live on the other side of the Kanc - in Glen, New Hampshire (Home of Storyland) and we do need the air conditioning in August! If you can get something else with A/C I'd do it. You may not need it all of the time but when it's hot, it's hot - even up here in the mountains. Deb |

Hi Melissa and Greg,
I was born and raised in NH. We didn't have A/C in our house. We used lots of window fans, slept in the basement or outside on hot summer nights. I second what Deb said. Kathleen |
