My husband and I will be there late Dec 21-23 and have never been there before. Does anyone have suggestions as to best things to do, hotel that is close by and not too too expensive plus recommended restaurants.
Thanks for any and all help. |

We have a second home in Charleston. Hotels in the historict district are going to be expensive but I think worth it to be close to everything.
I always suggest a buggy ride first to get an overview of the historic district. Then walk, walk, walk. If you like to look at the interior of historic homes, there are several open to the public. There is shopping at the Market and on King Street. There are numerous art galleries throughout the historic district. There are many fine restaurants. Our favorites include: Fulton Five Carolina's Anson The Oak Steakhouse Slightly North of Broad Less expensive: Vickerys Fleet Landing Charleston Crab Shack Noisy Oyster Fast and French |
