Marriott Seaview Fairway Villas holiday info

HOA has bought busses (big white ones) to transport to various places in AC area, particular the casinos. I think they are still waiting for permits.

Pick up 1/2 price coupons for various shows (Christmas at Tropicanna), Brenda Lee. Price reduces as low as $10.00.

Like on HHI, and the resorts at Orlando, Seaview HOA will give you a discount card for use in all the Seaview facilities. This includes 20% (or more) off in ALL the dining areas of the hotel,

INCLUDING the holiday dinners & buffets, the several planned high teas...not to be confused by other hotels high teas, this includes more than tes..(but not hard stuff), lots of food & deserts (just over $10.00 if not part of your hotel room package,

Also 20% (at least) off all sports as golf. All facilities of the hotel, spa and T/S sections can be used by all guests. Charge everything to your room. Pay with the gift cards...gee that could be almost 40 %.... Did I say too much? Marriott don't read this anyway

(Owners, don't forget the 20% off on the Marriott Gift Cards on the MVCI site...up to $2000)

That same card (not the MAR gift card) will give you a discount at local restaurants (including Smithville...Absecon -like Rifici), Galloway, AC, Egg Harbor and shops. Get that card at check in. Don't wait for the personal visit to your room of the consererge (sp)

I'll post links and pricing for the holiday stuff here, when I find out more (like pricing....)

I also haven't found out if Seaview wil accept the AARP card for 20% off dining like they did in the past. (Desert Springs still does, as does many other Marriott places in Fl). (Why do they like to keep this secret?)

WiFi works in t he 3 villas I checked, and all in the hotel and other buildings.

It is Wayport Access and finds the MAC Airport system easily.

Appears Building A is very empty.....saw cherry pickers working on its exterior with paint and hammers

Will find out this PM.

Unfortunately, although the MAR staff checked several times earlier this week for the use of the 20% off card, and told the T/S guests that they would accept the card, the Seaview main restaurant refused to accept the discount card for the Thanksgiving dinner.....

and made sure we were informed that they will not take the card for any holiday meals in the MAIN DINING room.

Sorry for the wrong info posed above. I'll try to find out what other info might be not accurate. I will not use names, as the staff was very nice.

Main dining room host(ess) offered those presenting cards with that mis info a gift from Marriott....

Ken.....Thank you for posting all this information on the Seaview Marriott.

I am an owner there, and will be there Memorial Day week, this year. I was wondering if you had any info on how we could possibly get discounts on golf, dining, etc.

I am not certain how I would go about getting this discount card. I haven't gotten one yet.... Do I automatically get one, as an owner? Or do I need to request one, in some manner?

Thanks for your help.......

That card is good for discounts on almost everything in house.....but not on all food purchases Fri, Sat, or Sunday.

You MUST get it from the Concerige (sp?). According to todays front desk and concerige.....EVERYONE checking in gets the card. Of course, now that I have posted this, I can see a policy change happen, because the card makes no distinction between a MVCI owner, a Seaview Owner, an exchanger or a renter via Marriott or other places.

According to the lady I spoke to this AM in the Seaview resort, (SUNDAY NOV 26, 2006} only MVCI are supposed to get this card, but sometimes errors occur. I think this lady has the correct info. Sorry that standard exchangers can't use the card. All other discounts (like the show coupons) are for everyone. And its only good in the main restaurant Monday through Thursday.

That same card is used off property for many places for a % off.....usually in restaurants but also in some shops. Dozens of lesser quality T/S units offer this option in their areas. And they always want to make sure those places KNOW the pull their resort provides the local economy.

Other discounts may be available on the http://www.seaviewgolf.com/ site. Need to search on that site. DO NOT USE THIS SITE TO MAKE MANY RESERVATIONS....it messed up our families Thanksgiving somewhat.

Those at the resort, and don't mind going to any casinos, the concer has COUPONS FOR SHOWS.

She has a list on her computer, and runs them off, then gives them to you.

While we were here this week, they had 1/2 price tix for the Tropicana 2000 seat B'way playhouse for Holiday Specticular Christmas Show. Seats were open ( not assigned) and ended up costing $10.00 each. Show was about 80 + minutes.

In the same theater, Brenda Lees' Troupe (gee how did she get to look that old??) was offered as one free with one. Best tix to this assigned seating show were $25.00......but you get one free with one...so it was $12.50.

No food or drink sales are allowed in the non smoking theater, but currently they allow you to bring purchased stuff in......staff said the spills are ruining this new place. (They used carpet on the floors).

We packed up the lists of places to use this card. But I don't think it would be worth listing, as the places may change.

Stop & Shop replaces the Giant Foods supermarket, and the Seaview wisdom pushes exchangers to shop at this ultra clean, but a bit expensive store. No matter that Shop Rite Supermarkets is one of the largest contributers to their LPGA week.

Actually, if you need to watch your $$$, (and don't mind shopping with the real folk who live in the area, head for the Shop Rite down on Route 30.

Why? Only for pricing. No need to support a sponser. And some may feel the area is a bit poorer than they are used to.

1 Lb LoL (Land of Lakes butter $1.66 lb, Five 12 can packs Coke products $11.00, Block Cream Cheese 8oz $.77, Kraft Philly $.99 .....

And don't forget the easiest way to get here or leave is using the Garden State Parkway. Get off or on from Jimmy Leeds Road at the Atlantic City Rest Stop of the GSP.

Even if you use the AC Expressway, get off at the GSP N to the AC Rest Stop, and follow signage to Jimmy Leeds Road. Turn R on JL Road, go to end at Rt 9 and turn R and note resort on the corner of Rt 9 & JL Road. If you go straight past US Rt 9, you will be on the Bay Course with your car...they may get mad.

Hi Marty:
Had a small TUG meeting this AM in the hotels main dining room with Sheldon & Kathy. I also met Lenny, and Tony (both TUG members) at another meeting, but I think Lenny had a long drive back home & didn't have time. Was great talking to Sheldon...has a lot of info...

On Sunday and every day, there is a standard Marriott Hotel type buffet breakfast. This included fresh fruits (Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, blueberries, melons, cut up pineapples, sectioned oranges, grapefruits & whole fruits that weren't cut. Hot cereals, like Quaker Oats, with brown sugar, maple, and cream. Didn't see grits, even if Seaview is below the Mason Dixon line...they must have forgotten them.

Waffles (real maple syrup, cherry & strawberry compote, whipped cream), and omlet station, with dozens of selections to add, (or sunny side up. egg whites, & Beaters)....pancakes, cheese potatoe & fruit blintzas (sp?), and many baled goods....NYC Bagles with smoked lox (salmon) (three types), different garnish as onions, tomatoes, several types Italian salami, smoked Italian ham, yoghert....

and in the hot trays were Marriott Corp potatoes, pork breakfast & turkey (low fat??) sausage, biscuits with SOS, 2 types bacon, 4 types juice (this time the OJ tasted fresh, not like the Minute Maid from Brazil), coffee, tea, milks, and for desert.....

$15.99 for above unless you get a room rate with that included.

The buffett was immediately removed at just befor 11 AM for the Champagne Brunch. But we were already full (and I think it was approx $30.00 + not sure, but I did notice one of those chocolate fountains running.

Did I leave anything out?

Seaview Villas

We also just returned yesterday from the Marriott Seaview. I am sorry we didn't know other tuggers were there at the same time as us. I called the front desk last Wednesday and asked for some clean towels and was told that there is a $9.00 charge for them. I washed them myself.
We had a great dinner at the Mystic Casino restaurant in Tuckerton, you can get a $10.00 coupon for $3.00 on www.restaurantcoupons.com. Great corned beef and burgers across the street from the resort at McGettingan's. Fishtail's and Italian Gourmet accept the Villas discount coupon, they are right there off of Jimmy Leeds Rd. Excellent food.

Hi Marty:
Don't know owners. We went twice, to the Italian one, once when it first opened, and then about a year ago. It was OK.

Like Rifici's a lot better, but the sauce on the pizza is a bit sweet, and they don't let the pizza fry on the stone.....but it still was better.

The further N in NJ toward NY we go, it seems the pizza is better.

The pasta sauces at Rifici's also were better, (IMO). We also like a place on Rt 30 NW of Jimmy Leeds road ending, I think called Figeros.

When we returned home, we had recieved a $10.00 coupon in the mail for Fred & Ethels Lantern Light (?) in Smithville Village and on free dinner for Goodfellows, (on rt 30, just befor the Rams Head.). Too late to use them.
