Question Pocono's - What is there to do-attractions

I am beggining to start thinking about places to go and things to see using timeshare vacations. The Pocono's come to mind once in a while but I don't know a thing about the area.

What is the attraction to this area for timeshare usage/exchanges? Is this just a mountain area to relax? Are there tourist things to do in the summer time? What should I know about the area for vacationing if we decided to make an exchange into this region?

There's lots to do in the summertime. Swim, hike, fish, go tubing on the Delaware, horseback riding, lots of country fairs. Camel Beach is the big water park and there are others farther away. There's good outlet shopping near Shawnee. There are lots of scenic drives and miniature golf places and go-kart places. You can go for a nature walk at Bushkill or at a state parks. There's a little zoo called Paws n Claws that the kids love.

In the winter...okay, I'm not a winter person, so the winter people can just jump in here anytime! There's skiing and snow tubing and xcountry skiing. Indoor swimming. Horseback riding for the bundled-up. Shawnee has tons of activities, including karaoke nights that attract a lot of local owners, game nights, movies, crafts.

I think the Poconos website is www.1800poconos.com. HTH!
