Any Spicebush owners out there, ?s re: special assessment
I keep looking here thinking I'll see a discussion of the special assessment announced recently. Everyone has been in such an uproar over Foxrun and not even a peep about Spicebush, unless I missed it.
For those of you reading along, it is a 4 year assessment to do the kitchens. $100 per year for 4 years with a $20 discount to pay in full by December 1st this year. If 50% of owners pay it upfront, the job can be completed by March 2007. What do you think the chance is that 50% will pay it all at once? Theoretically, if one were to consider selling their unit, would the unit with a paid SA sell before a unit that owed several years on the SA given similar pricing? Do you think you could get a buyer to reimburse you for a paid assessment? For the record, I am supportive of this assessment. I bought Spicebush for trading when it was still a Marriott. It has gotten us where we want to go. If we had bought a new property, it would have cost 3 times as much and come with a new kitchen. I don't mind paying for upkeep and improvements when needed. Any other owners out there? Let me know what you're planning on doing if you don't mind. Amy |

Hi,
I'm a Spicebush owner. I don't mind the special assessment..the place needs some updating! I enjoy staying there & I've also gotten the trades that I want when I've traded the unit...no complaints. I decided NOT to pay the entire amount this year...the $ 20 discount wasn't enough to entice me, and I really don't care if it takes a little longer to finish the kitchens. Although they may not be beautiful right now, I don't think they're that bad...I guess I'm not as picky as a lot of people are (: |

How nice that the resort spread it out so it won't impact everyone in one shot. My experience has been to pay it all at once or over 2 years.

Sounds OK
Sounds like the assessment is being justified well and options for payment are good. Thats most likely why you haven't heard much as they are doing it right for a needed upgrade.
