ARDA PAC Fees

The SVN membership dues notice includes a $5.00 contribution to ARDA, a political action committee. While you are NOT required to pay this fee, it is already figured into the bottom line number. You can choose to deduct it and only pay the other fees.

Does anyone know/have an opinion how much good this PAC does for the average timeshare owner? I don't mind contributing if it is an effective organization, but I also don't want to send my money if all it does is line someone's pocket.

Have you been to their website? The ARDA-Resort Owners Coalition (ARDA-ROC) is only a small portion of what American Resort Development Association does. It's a professional organization and the money goes to do what they say it does. You need to decide if you think they support the Developer or the Owner.
 
Thanks for the link. I know what they're supposed to do, but I'm not sure how good they are at it. They seem to be pretty much developer-oriented so I am trying to hear from others to decide if I want to support them or not.
