discounts for small airports?

I'm looking for a rental car on Molokai for March. I see Hotwire and Priceline don't even list MKK as an option. Am I stuck with whatever discounts I can drum up for Budget or Dollar (the two at the airport)? Thanks!

There is another rental company on the island, and they may even end up being a little cheaper. But, not sure I'd recommend them (and off the top of my head I can't remember the name). Reason I wouldn't recommend is for a couple of reasons. They are off site and have to come to the airport to get you. That adds time on both ends. They ended up over-charging us because they said we didn't fill the car with gas (we had) and it took forever to get that resolved. So, I would stick with one of the two that are at the airport and just figure the cost as part of the vacation.

Molokai is a tiny airport with only 1 or 2 rental car options. Rates are very high and you will be stuck with whatever you get. A 4WD jeep is really nice to have, because many of the roads are not paved.

I have an extensive Molokai trip report with pictures, and activities at www.freewebs.com/denisetravels
