We are a family of 5 staying at the Royal Mayan for a week in June. We arrive on Friday night but do not check in until Saturday. Any suggestions for accomodations for one night? All the hotels I have looked at say that maximum occupancy for the room is 4. I really don't want to pay for 2 rooms as we don't arrive until later in the evening and will be leaving in the morning. I was hoping to stay at the Hilton but they say 4 max. even on a room that could accomodate more. I guess it is a fire code. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

possible solution

You might be able to priceline 2 rooms for the same cost as getting 1 room conventionally.

The alternative which you may or may not be comfortable with is to not have your entire family with you when you check-in. Have a couple of people out looking at the pool or something.
