St. Thomas & St. Kitts exchanges

When do you Tuggers think we'll start to see exchanges on II for these two Marriott resorts?

No idea, but I've been checking several times every single day I'm probably months too early, but I just can't help myself.

I did see St. Thomas once when searching on II, flexchange... I think it was for February



I did see St. Kitts several on II several times!! flexchange... Haven't seen it in the last few weeks, but it popped up several times within a few days of each other.

Yes I've seen them both as well during Flexchange. I wish I could find cheap airfare at the last minute, find a way to take care of my animals at the last minute and find a way to convince my husband we need yet another vacation.

Thanks all. Just to clarify, is flex change the 60 day window prior to the check-in date?

Also, Amy was your Grande Vista gold, platinum or just what? I'm checking with a GV gold 1 bedroom.

Yep Flexchange is inside the 60 day window.

I'm not really sure my grand vista even qualifies as a grand vista

It was a cancelled exchange, 2BR Platinum Grand Vista originally deposited. I don't know what kind of trade power they give back with the replacement week.

We received a trade for late next fall. We own a week and have a total of 4 couples going, so needed the extra room. I believe we requested the trade last spring and the trade came through the end of Oct. I used my "gift of time" bonus week to trade.

Gift of Time -

Marriott resorts have a week 53 in some years. Marriott owns those weeks and usually makes them available to Marriott owners for a fee that is generally about the same as annual maintenance fees. Those owners who own multiple weeks and/or make numerous referrals are generally given first opportunity to purchase the use of such weeks under some secret invitation priority methodology that we haven't been able to figure out.

Those "Gift of Time" weeks can be used, exchanged or rented. However, unlike other Marriott weeks, Marriott will not rent such a week for you.

The next such week 53s will occur this year for resorts that have a Monday check-in date and in 2009 for resorts with that have a Thursday check-in date.

I own a 3 bedroom Platinum at St Kitts and didn't want to pull the kids out of school so I exchanged for June, now anxiously waiting to hopefully get the exchange . I hope I didn't ..... myself.
