Car Rental In California

We are traveling to California in August. We arrive at San Fransisco on 8/17 and leave from San Diego on 8/29. I checked car rental rates and they are OUTRAGEOUS. In addition, there is usually a drop-off or one-way fee, that on Dollar is $181. It is similar to other rental companies. The cheapest rates I have seen for a full size or minivan is around $700.

Does anybody have any ideas or discount codes that will help.

Thanks,

Joe

Resorts: Starwood-WKORV, SDO, & SVR, Branson-Roark Vacation Club, Tahoe-Kingsbury Crossing, Kauai Beach Villas - 2 weeks
Go to www.mousesavers.com and go to their car rental page - they always have all the latest discount codes for the major rental agencies.

If you are a member of any of these organizations try:

www.costco.com
www.aarp.com
www.entertainment.com
www.aaa.com

Search for your dates/requirements on their rental sites and see who has the best deal. Note that you will be required to show your membership card to get the discount when you actually pick up the car.
