Resorts: Marriott's Cypress Harbour
Key West

We are considering Key West for this summer. What is the best way to get there fr om the DC area, Miami or direct? Thanks.

I would fly in to either Miami or Fort Lauderdale and then drive a rental car down the keys. (Highway A1A). It's an amazing drive.

I believe it would be very, very, expensive to fly directly to Key West itself.

When is the most comfortable time to travel to Key West (no bugs, not humid)?

Resorts: Jockey Club (wk. 22); Summit @ Massunutten (U & L); Oak Knoll @ FF Glade TN.
Late Fall to early Spring..it's our dry season, so there is less humidity and bugs...but since this is the tropics there are always some sort of bugs around, but not as many. Keep in mind that the hurricane season is from June 1 through the end of November. January and February can get pretty chilly (for us Floridians ) We've been down from the end of February through April and the weather has been good.
