airport transfer to Cancun hotel zone

When getting from the airport to a Royal Resort in Cancun we have always used Thomas Moore transportion. Last year the wait was long to get a van due to all the people arriving at the same time at the airport.
IS there any other reasonably priced, reliable service to get to the Royals??
 
We flew into Cancun last month and used the following website to book our transportation which was recommended on this board. We were very happy.

We booked a private car to Puerto Morelas for $79 round trip; and the driver was there waiting for us...in fact he found us!! And they picked us up on time to return. We were at the new El Cid Riveria Maya. There were 2 of us and it was wonderful to have only ourselves to drop off.

We also asked our driver Patrick if he knew of anywhere to get a cell phone for use while we were there. He said he does it on his own and offered to bring us one the next evening at our resort. He did and he only charged us for the minutes we wanted him to load on it. We gave him a generous tip for doing it. He also gave us a charger to use and helped us learn how to use it. It worked great. Then we just returned it to the driver that we had returning. While we were riding to the airport he called to see if it worked ok for us. What service. We were extremely happy.

Now we need to research getting a cell phone in Mazatlan too.

I agree with Judy since we have used Brant's service for the past 4-5 years, maybe more. We have referred friends and they always tell us that it was very nice seeing their name on that sign at the airport and getting them out of there!
 
I am curious since I am thinking of booking through Thmas More. Why did you have to wait a long time? Did a van fill up and you had to wait for another one to come?
 
Thomas More is not a private van service. They service all the Royal Resorts, so they will typically fill a van then leave the airport. You may expect to stop at all the Royal Resorts. So if you are staying at the Royal Sands it may take you over two hours to arrive if you consider your wait at the airport and the all the stops at the first three resorts.

They are also more expensive then Cancun Valet and the other transver services, they charge $17 rt compared to $60 rt (10people) it is ok for one or two people but a taxi is just as well.
 
We'll be staying at the JW Marriott in Cancun for two nights in April before we head south to the Grand Mayan. We already have transportation from the airport to the JW but now we need to get transportation from the JW to the Grand Mayan. Anybody have any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks.

Because it is only the two of us it will cost more to take a private service, but I think it will be worth it. It would be nice to find more people arriving on Feb. 24th to share a private van....oh well...
