I am looking to trade into a resort in Mexico with my 2 daughters (22 and 24) early 2008. We have never been to Mexico before, so I am looking for some advice on the different resorts and areas. Between Acapulco, Cancun, Cozumel, Neuvo/Puerto Viejo, Mazatlan, Riviera Maya, Cabo, etc., which would be the best for a first-time experience? My daughters are beach babies, having been born in Florida and lived in Costa Rica for 2-1/2 years, so great beaches are important. We would also like a place with really nice pools. We will be staying in a 1-bedroom suite, so would like something nice and roomy and very comfortable. The girls like to go out at night, so we would also like to be near places on this trip. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Cancun is our choice. I know it has a reputation for wild times but, you'll find a great mix of visitors from the younger crowd who go to party to the more mature groups who go to relax and enjoy the incredible beaches. Our first visit was through II trade to the Royal Resorts. We loved it so much we bought in the place, then we did it again the following year.
Cancun, Royal Resorts and you'll meet all your needs from relaxation, beautiful beaches, and why not, party at night downtown where the place comes to life with the fun crowds.
check out the Roayl Resorts web site, there is a lot of info on their different sites and also, lots of pictures that will show you the rooms, pools etc...checkout the webcams, i do regularly to forget the winter and look forward to our vacation back again this year....:hi: http://www.royalresorts.com

I've been to Cabo, PV, and Cancun and would sudjest Cancun and Cabo. Would you be uing RCI or II for exchange?

I recommend Cabo IF you can get one of these resorts: Pueblo Bonito Rose, Pueblo Bonito Blanco (next door and probably listed as Pueblo Bonito Cabo or something similar), Playa Grande.

The first two are on the safe, swimmable beach with all the water sports activities and both have nice pools. They are both within easy walking distance of town. Playa Grande isn't on a safe beach for swimming--it's on the Pacific side with dangerous waves--but it's close to town and not far from Medano beach, the safe one for swimming. The pools are nice at PG.

PB Sunset Beach is a beautiful resort, part of the Pueblo Bonito family of resorts, and has a free shuttle to the PB Rose. For your purposes, though, I think you'd be happier with one of the first three resorts listed.

I think your flight time to Cabo would be shorter than to Cancun, but not sure about that. Cabo is smaller than Cancun, but it lots of fun.

Cancun beaches are much better than the other locations in IMO. I love Cabo & PV, but they in no way compare to the white sand & caribbean you'll get at Cancun. Lots to do in Cancun also.

We have stayed in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. We stayed at the Royal Mayan Cancun and the Grand Mayans in Rviera Maya and Nuevo Vallarta.

My first choice for a great resort and good beaches would be the Grand Mayan - Nuevo Vallarta. The beaches are not very good at Puerto Vallarta nor Mazatlan.
