Hello TUGgers, I have finally made the switch from WEBTV to a real computer. Can you give me some advice b4 I make the switch? My DSL will be hooked-up on Monday. 3/12 I'm going to keep webtv for maybe a month,so I can refer back to any websites or info I may need. .....Is there some type of "things to do b4 transfering"?
Thank-you

I switched from webtv in 2005. All I did was print a copy of my e-mail addresses. I went cable & it is lightning fast. It costs $44 month because I did not have all three (we kept Verizon for landline) It would have been $29 a month if we had all three (cable, internet & phone)

I think you're going to be fine and will really like your new computer for accessing the internet.

I would write down all of the addresses of the websites that you like to visit using WebTV. Then when you are on your new computer you can visit the same sites using the internet browser of your choice.

Good luck and have fun!
