Does anyone know if Marriott will upgrade upon check-in at a vacation club if there is an availability? For example, I could only get an efficiency through interval exchange. Once I check into facility will they ever upgrade to 1 bedroom if there is one available? IntervaL says I can keep calling back and if there is a 1 bedroom they will upgrade me for another exchange fee.
 
Its not a hotel. All rooms are owner and accounted for

Marriott's policy is that they will not upgrade you, although there have been a few exceptions reported here. Your best bet is to keep watching II for something that becomes available.
