Just got back from Puerto Vallarta and while there we read
about the new casinos that the government has just given
permission to start building. According to what we were
reading, tourists are free to go in anytime but the Mexican
men have to get a permit to go in. When they apply for
their permit his WIFE has to give her permission in writing
and if he spends too much money she can revoke his permit.
Way to go, Mexico!

Yeh, right. That'll happen!

Let's wait for the casinos first. I have lived here going on 20 years now and they have been talking about them for 15.

There is a smal gaming place in PV which has slot machines. it is near Villa del Palmar, in a new shopping area. Someone told me that Caliente in Cancun also has machines. Is this true? I think that same person said it is also for sports betting.

That is a new twist. The last time I heard therm talking about casinos in Mexico, they were going to be limited to tourists only period. Like Jim said, wait and see if they do put casinos in Mexico. They have been talking about it for years. Even though I am an avid casino fan, I hope they do NOT put casinos in Mexico.
