HHI- what's the name of that place?
We leave for Hilton Head this evening, and I can't remember the name of the bakery/cafe in Sea Pines that other Tuggers have recommended. Anyone recall what it is? Also, anything not to be missed with our two year old? Thanks!

You might mean Signe's, but it's not in Sea Pines. Still worth checking out.

Signe's is in Coligny Plaza.
We found an excellent bakery near the Hilton Head Diner. It was very good and more reasonable than the other one. |

I assume Jeni is referring to Signe's. I did a search and that's the only HHI bakery that has been mentioned on this forum.

...and if you are looking for a breakfast spot in Sea Pines, the Waterfront Cafe (formerly Cafe Europa), in Harbourtown, is probably the #1 restaurant.

Jeni
Signe's Bakery is not in Coligny Plaza but on 93 Arrow Road they serve lunch also. There is a small bakery in Coligny but it is not Signe's. This was the one on Rachel Ray. I thought it was ok not fabulous. There is a French Bakery at the North end of the island Pineland Station. I am not overly impressed with either of them. I'd rather buy the desserts from Fresh Market on the Wm Pkwy. Or you may want to try The Westin Buffet with a 20 ft dessert bar. It's seasonal so you need to call The Westin. http://www.signesbakery.com http://www.frenchbakeryhiltonhead.com The Coligny Bakery (Restaurants - Bakery) 1 Coligny Plaza, #1 Hilton Head SC 29928 843-686-4900 Description: Homemade baked goods include specialty breads, croissants, Danish and French pastries, donuts and muffins. Also try one of their famous frozen fruit drinks for that early morning pick-me-up.
