I just took the Super Shuttle (1-800-BLUE-VAN) from LaGuardia to Manhattan yesterday. It's $17 and they take you anywhere in Manhattan, right to the door. The shuttles are available at all the NYC airports.
Not terribly speedy because it's a shared ride and they take people here, there, and everywhere, but at least it's easy because you're just sitting there till they get to your hotel. |

How about the subway from La Guardia? Seems to me I used to do that years ago but don't know how that would work for The Manhattan Club.

Here's a handy page!
http://www.ny.com/transportation/airports/ There used to be a "train-to-the-plain" subway that ran to Kennedy, quite a few years ago now. It was a special car or two on the A train, with extra security. Now you just take the subway and take your chances. But the subway is a lot safer than it used to be. Here's what that site says. Public Transportation The New York City subways and buses run to JFK for $2.00. If you have large quantities of luggage, you may find it difficult to manage this long trip. Take the A train to Howard Beach (not all A trains go here, double check that you aren't headed to Lefferts Blvd). From there take the free shuttle bus to your terminal. Tip to reach the subway system (from george.rasko@octel.com ): Take the free JFK parking shuttle to the long term parking lot. This drops you off right at the "JFK" subway station, which takes you through Brooklyn and connects to all major subway routes. Tip for Queens: Take the Q10 to Lefferts Blvd. subway stop (A train) or to the Kew Gardens subway stop (E F R); Or the Q3 to the 179 Jamaica (F R). |

As for Newark.......
http://www.ny.com/transportation/airports/NWK.html
This will show you how to take a coach bus to NYC (Port Authority at 42 and 8th) or the airport monorail connection to a NJTransit train into NYC, in addition to cabs. |
