From the Spring 2007 Grand Times page 11 titled “Next Generation”
This sounds like potential changes to the 9 month Club Reservation window.
“…. Up until now, we’ve focused on making program changes, rule simplifications and other minor modifications. Now, though, we are evaluating the very core of your Club.
We’ve asked for your input, and in turn, we are evaluating more dramatic changes. We may even go so far to change the name. So get ready as we lay the groundwork for substantial enhancements that will make your Club even better.
“As we are evolving into the next generation of timeshare resorts, we’re looking to simplify the entire Club experience,” ……. "We are trying to bring additional options, benefits and features to your Club.” One option being considered is a shorter reservation window for Members who are unable to plain their vacations a year in advance. "We understand that not everyone can plan this far ahead, so we are looking for better ways to accommodate your needs”….
For example, when you are booking a truly grand trip to Hawaii and want to stay at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Waikoloa Beach Resort, it makes sense to book far in advance, but for more spontaneous getaways, flexibility to book within a smaller window is paramount. “We are evaluating how the Club can best serve a variety of needs and come up with a better and easier delivery method”….Looking ahead to 2007 and yes 2008, you can expect more flexibility when it comes to booking, while knowing that your interests as an owner will be protected”
