I Want Good Seafood In Myrtle Beach

We have been here this week and have run the gamut of buffets and theme restaurants.....most we have found to be overpriced Golden Corrals and fast food restaurants. Time is running short so please send ideas quickly!

DH flew home this am so its just me and the kids. It doesn't have to be fancy, just good. No more soggy crab legs.

We are hungry!
Thanks,
Cindy

We just found the Inlet Crab place in Murrell's Inlet today, it was good! We also liked Joe's Crab Shack.

Go, run, hurry, eat Mrs. Fish. All fresh, small dinky place, family owned. It is near the back end of the Pavillion. It's in a strip mall next to an office business supply place. Trust me on this one!!! Don't forget to go to Hoskins if you find yourself in No Myrtle Beach. If you want fancy go to The Sea Captains House. shaggy

Bonefish Grill and Islamarada are good places for seafood-little more pricey than the touristy places but worth it.

Drive North to Calabash N C . It is right after to cross into N C. Go down to the docks and eat at one of the Calabash seafood houses. Try the Calabash tpye seafood. They buy their seafood right from the boats right there. You can not get fresher then that. Have a nice glass of Southern Sweet Tea with a little and look out at the water. You will have great food and a great view. It is worth the ride. Enjoy.

Second vote for Sea Captain's House - great crab casserole! Quiet ambience but reasonably priced, one of MB's oldest restaurants, we go there every trip and have never been disappointed. We also like Chestnut Hill, good food and atmosphere, reasonable. Joe's Crab Shack is ok, as is the Crab House. The buffets we have tried in MB were universally bad, not to mention loud. Last trip we found Mrs. Fish but it must have been their one off-night.

Lotsa good places down in Murrell's inlet. I like the Plantation house myself, but there are several good spots right along the old road through Murrell's inlet.

If you're really adventurous, there is a little tiny diner in a little town called Greeleyville who do tremendous fish and shrimp dinners. Hush puppies to kill for.

There is also an authentic soul food cafeteria out on the main drag in a town called Andrews.

I know what you are going through here. I spent two winters working down in Myrtle Beach...LOTS and LOTS of REALLY bad restaurants.

Eat at Thorny's. It's not all seafood, but they have great ribs and steaks.
