Any Suites at Fisherman's Wharf Owners?

I was looking to rent a week this summer from an ad on another site. Has anyone stayed there recently? From reading comments on the internet, it sounds like the biggest potential issue is noise. Any suggestions as to what specific units are quieter, but not dumpy? I was going to contact the resort once I finalize the rental, but would like to have as much information up front as possible. I am an owner...own the 2 bedroom...which is on the cable car line side The noise from the cable car is not what I prefer on a vacation! I would imagine that the other 1 bedrooms are not that bad, and if you can get a 1 bedroom that faces the street it would be nice.

They were redoing roofs last summer, which was noisy...I do not know of any construction this year.

The units are a bit outdated...but clean...and the location is great next to the wharf and Ghiradelli's.

We aren't owners but we have stayed there. I was very disappointed in the rooms. They are VERY OUTDATED. The pull out bed had holes in the blankets and the sheets were sewn together where the seams were ripping. When we went the bathroom sink had been replaced and was new. Some of the stuff was replaced but the furniture was very old and ratty (probably from the 1970s). It isn't a 5* place at all. The only thing 5* about it is the location. The location is great.

I really had high hopes for the place. The lobby looks really nice then, the rooms are such a disappointment. However, the place was very clean and you got daily maid service. The view from the rooftop was very nice.

I had some relatives stay in a 1 bedroom that faces the street. I visited them there and thought eveything looked very nice. Much roomier than units I've had at the Donatello or the Nob Hill Inn.

Along the street is the spacious living room and kitchen. The bedroom was through the wall furthest from the street which should make the bedroom much quieter.

They had no complaints with the room and really enjoyed the spaciousness.

As for me, I can sleep on the cable car and not hear a sound.
