Okay I know I have seen this somewhere..Does anybody know the name of the small take-out and also eat at picnic tables out front restaurant on Pope Avenue away from the beach on HH- Is it the Crab Shack? - I think its known for amazing fresh seafood..It's just west of the Waterside by Spinnaker I think. Barb,
Are you thinking of the Smokehouse Bar & BBQ restaurant at 102 Pope Avenue? Richard |

Sea Shack ??
Are you referring to the Sea Shack? Here's the description from Sallys-place. Note that they have short hours but good, fast, fried food.
THE SEA SHACK EXECUTIVE PARK ROAD (OFF POPE AVE.) 785-2464 A place known and frequented primarily by the locals, this little restaurant actually does resemble a New England shack. But who cares, when all sorts of fresh fish are available and you can choose to have it grilled, blackened, or fried? There are no pretensions here. You order at the counter as you read the menu off a board, and then sit at an old table and wait for your food. The fried oyster sandwich, the fish based soups, and the grilled grouper were true winners, but the crowd makes it clear that everything is top notch. Large portions, and inexpensive, too. On an Island where the best seafood is usually in the finer restaurants, this is a good find. |
