Resorts: FF/Wyndham Flagstaff, FF/ Wyndham Williamsburg - Kingsgate, FF/Wyndham Myrtle Beach/Westwinds, Lifetime in Hawaii (Oahu)
Wmsburg - Rosie Rumpe's Regal Dumpe?

Is it still open/around? I had read some decent reviews on it but now can't seem to find a valid/current phone number?

According to travel reviews on IgoUgo and TravelChannel.com, it was located at 1402 Richmond Road in the Quality Inn Hotel.

I think somebody was saying it had closed. I'm sorry! You could call the Wburg Convention and Visitors Bureau to be sure.

I'll look into it when we're there in a few weeks.

p.s. Sorry you didn't like it Matt. I realize the reviews have been mixed, as with many things.

I just think you can do a lot more things in Williamsburg with your time. RR is a bit raunchy and second rate if you ask me.

Try some of the evening performances at Colonial Williamsburg or maybe there is something at the college that might be interesting.

As annual pass holders for Colonial Williamsburg this year, we do have a lot planned for the evening events that are complimentary with the Independence Passes. I think we've got just about all of them covered given that we're in town 10 days.

The Rosie show and the Mystery Theatre event were just options we were looking into in the event that too much history and culture needed to be broken up with something different. With that being said, we're pretty happy with how our trip is shaping up and all that there is to do in Williamsburg . . . especially with the Jamestown 400th happening during our visit.

Thanks again for the input!!

Yvonne, I haven't been to Rosie's but I wish I had seen it. It sounds like it's up my uncultured alley I hated when they closed the Wmsburg Opry as I enjoyed that but it's long gone. Take a drive down to Yorktown and have a meal by the water. shaggy

Thanks Charles, I have that web page link but their reservations link is dead . . . hence my assumption that they may be out of business.

Yes, Yorktown will be on our agenda too! I can't remember the name of the riverfront restaurant there, but my mom and I used to enjoy lunch there in the spring when I would visit from F-burg.

It was discussed in this thread---

http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=rosie

I did a search in this forum. Also in another thread northovr (or something like that) mentions the Magic Tree Pancake House, and says it is where Rosie Rumpe's used to be.

Yeah, I'm guessing they are closed. Oh well . . . just one less thing to try to squeeze in.

We went to Rosie's a few years back---we thought it was worth going to.

It was English-style adult humor (not for kids)---alot of talk about 'wenches', etc.

We thought the show was entertaining, and the food was
average.
