Travel insurance for bonus week?

I'm planning to use a SFX bonus week to book something for friends. They are going to pay the fees and asked about trip cancellation insurance. Since only fees would need to be recovered and not maintainance, would the usual travel insurance work instead of insurance that specifically covers timeshares?

Also, since they are not SFX members, I would book the week for them and pay, then they'll reimburse me. Is that going to be a problem with the insurance?

Thanks in advance!

Travel Insurance for friends

Individual trip insurance will work for this situation. I would recommend however that a company that specializes in timeshare travel insurance such as VacationGuard be used since they have an individual trip product available online - VacationGuard Leisure. This way if there is a need to file a claim the insured will be dealing with a company that understands both. I have personally done this and it was perfect for me.
