RCI cruise voucher offer

Has anyone else gotten the cruise voucher offered by RCI? They sent us 2 since we have recently banked 2 resorts. I don't know if it's a good deal or not. It implies you can get the cruise offers normally done with an exchange but without exchanging your week. Sounds good, but i wonder. Any advice appreciated. We've never done an RCI cruise.

Thumbs down

Exchange company ''cruise exchanges'' are usually very poor value compared with paying cash to a cruise discounter. There are links to a variety of cruise discounters in the Links Directory (under Website Navigation) at www.timeshareforums.com

I got one of these RCI cruise vouchers too and was wondering the same thing.

I received a voucher as well & called RCI - the VC told me it simply meant you did not have to bank a week for the cruise.

I did some research on pricing & you can book the same cruise directly from the cruise line or from any cruise website for less that you would pay through RCI.

I just can't understand why people are paying those prices & booking through RCI!!

My advice is to forget the voucher, it is just their way of inticing you into a not-really-a-bargain situation.

Save them up! Once you have eight, you can line the bird cage with 'em!
