Travel in Spain
Spain is the second most splendid country to travel to. I have been there two times and I recommend all the people. The most beautiful city of it I think is costa blanca. Now I'm thinking about saling my actual home and moving to there for living or work and I have found two property sites there. I wonder if you could recommend me some other suggestions about property there. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Property values crashing in Spain
Do not invest in property in Spain right now. Values have been dropping . Buying property in a forighn country is dangerous anytime. Fools Rush in, TUGers don''t.

The travelogue of my holiday.
Very nice site, I love it. In this Summer Holiday I want to go to Spain, tarragona and tenerife are the world’s best climate. In tarragona, enjoying the beaches is the most comfortable leisure. The sand is fine, the water is crystal clear and balmy, The beaches are crammed with local people and tourists from morning till night. In Tenerife, I want to get out of the beach and away from the sun, and just relax the classic metropolitan way, that is, I join the nightlife in Tenerife that cann’t be found in other tourist areas. The food in Tenerife is cooked in a traditional ways with international cuisine, the dishes usually accompanied by vegetable stews and fish casseroles. Don’t you think it is a meaningful trip, I not only relax, get much pleasure, the most important thing, but this trip has broadened my eyes, making me knowing much more about Spain’s cultures, history and lifestyles. Waiting for your travelogue.

The post by quentina is a peculiar one I grant you, but the links do seem to be to genuine sites for travel information. If those sites have been created for purposes other than to inform I can't work out what they are doing at this point.
It may be a softening up exercise, but I would be inclined to see how it goes first.

I do have to admit that, the last time I was in Madrid, I considered buying a condo there. I saw them in marginally decent areas (for travel for a week to a month) as cheap as $35,000. I like Spain enough that it might be worth having a place to go there, along with the possibility of a rental or two each year to help make back the cost of purchase.
There is the foreign property risk, but at $35k-$50k, it's one I might be willing to take. Is there a remote possibility that Spain could go communist and nationalize all the real property? Or that a military coup could turn it facist and all foreign ownership would be declared null and void? Sure. But Spain is hardly Mexico in terms of risk. And it is a wonderful country to spend a month or so for holiday once in awhile.

I don't want to get too deeply into the politics, but I suspect the people of Spain waited so long for the return of democracy they would be unlikely to want a return to either extreme of the political spectrum.
There have been problems with unlicenced building and land grabbing in Spain, particularly on the Costa del Sol, but I believe that is being cleaned up.

I like nature. I like to travel all of the world. I’ve been somewhere. But most strikingly attractive place is Spain. I’ve made a Spain travel last year. I stay in a Madrid hotel around 2 weeks. I tried to make around over the whole Madrid. I could say that it is a real beautiful and modern city. But if you went to Costa del sol, you will be in another feeling. Sunshine, sandy and Blue Sea, a good relax place for the younger and older. I recommend you to choose Spain as your resort for the next holiday. I am sure you will find some uncontemplated thing.

Barcelona and Madrid are two big cities in Spain. But if you come to one of them to another, you will find the differences between them. Different screen views, different culture, different local conditions make them so two countries! If you have time to Travel to Spain, you will have such feeling deeply.

I feel like I'm being spammed by the Tourism Board of Spain. It is kinda suspicious since all this is the first post by many of the posters.

In the today's marketing environment, it's entirely possible that this posting is an effort by a group like the tourism board of Spain. I used to work in PR, and there was a growing emphasis on "buzz marketing," the idea of getting word of mouth going. One of the techniques was to use postings on bulletin boards. I saw several sales pitches from agencies that were trying to specialize in this; most of them bragged about their success in posting plugs for products on bulletin boards of likely customers and making them appear like legitimate posts from real people - not ads. I saw several examples for products like P&G's cleaning products.
My company rejected this kind of campaign as unethical because the posters did not identify themselves and their affiliation honestly, but there are many companies that wouldn't hesitate to sign on. The skilled agencies would first have their posters participate in the discussion for a while, to make themselves appear legitimate, before slipping in their product plug. The group doing the TUG posting must be pretty amatuer to do their posting so blatently. I'm guessing that the group may be measuring its success at the posting effort by how much they can increase traffic to member's websites - and all of the "click throughs" from TUG members will be adding to the count! The report the client will get will talk about how many more "eyeballs" the effort brought to all the websites - not about how many bulletin board members got annoyed by the tacky postings. |

It's pretty obvious that the 1-post posters are spamming, and trying to get you to their websites. That said, the basic premise (that Spain is a great and relatively inexpensive place to travel, and possibly to own) is valid, and should be of interest to TUGgers.

Spain is a spectacular and diverse country. My colleagues and I have made several times trip abroad and we unanimous deem that Spain is the most country we have been to. We not only enjoy its bullfights, flamenco dancers and crowded beaches, but also admire its social culture. Spanish people are very open-hearted and communicative. You won't have any problems to get to know someone, especially in the big cities like Madrid or Barcelona. If you want to go to Spain be on a tour, the sites costa brava holidays and biza beach may help you a lot.

Looks like the Spanish Tourism group's online PR agency decided to check back on all their bulletin board postings and add some additional comments. You'd think they would at least use the same name for more than one posting! Don't you love that all these "guests" have posted for the first (and only, I suspect) time on this discussion. Oops...and now I've helped them out by bringing this back up to the board again by posting on it.
