Spirit's $9 fare club

Has anyone joined this, and if so do you think it is worth it?? How often are you receiving offers and how good are they? I've flown with them a few times always getting a really cheap rate. I'm looking for airfare for October and have always found the best deals with them about 8 months out. Haven't found anything yet and this is why I'm considering spending the $9 on the promo offer.

I joined and got four round trip ticks from Detroit to San Francisco for $18 per person!
That's the only killer deal I've gotten, though. Their $9 fares are pretty few and far between. What flights are you wanting?

I'm looking for DCA-FLL early October. I'm not so concerned about the ultimate "steal" (although can't say I wouldn't be happy to snag one). They have been around $180 for a long while now. Did look today with the 24 hour sale and it was down to $144. Last two years I've gotten them for $105 or so RT. (I need 7 tickets) May be worth the $9 to join then. Thanks for the input !!

Does the Spirit $9 fare club have sales that are not on the website?
I'm looking for a cheap airfare to the Turks and Caicos in late June or July. Since we'll be diving, we'd have to pay extra to take checked luggage. A repeat of their $1 sale would be really nice I've been wondering if I should spend the money to join.

The $9 fare sales don't show up unless you are a $9 fare club member and are logged in. That being said, I don't think they fly to Turks??

Spirit flies to Providenciales from Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I joined their free email list a week ago and their $9 fare club two days ago. They've had at least two sales posted on their website since I signed up for the free email and one since I paid my $9. But I never received any email.
