Interval Renewal

Has anyone seen any recent "bargains" for renewing membership with Interval International. Mine runs out in Nov 2008. The most recent notice I've received is $84 for one year, $291 for three years & $339 for five years -- with a Free Gift with the last two (Whoopee - a Time Clock/Calculator!).

Can't we establish a TUG group rate?

Most all the bargains are associated with a resort and not available for all II members.

I do like the idea of a "TUG" rate.

To the OP (Original Poster): It may be worth asking the II rep to give you a 2 for 1 renewal.

My membership is up this month and I just don't think II is worth $84 /yr.

I would question the $ 84 value if all you planned to do is to exchange once per year. But most owners exchange several weeks and many use II getaways. I think a more valid criticism is about escallating exchange fees. Depending on your actual maintenance fees, II exchange fees can add 20 -30% to the total cost. And II has no volume and/or frequency discount ! I would like to see TUG negotiate, for example, something like this: one exchange/year = $149, two exchanges/year = $250, three or more/year $100 each. Just my opinion.
