I have a question please. I got two Last Calls at VVP for my family starting this Friday, June 8. I know they are the "B" units, but we were going to be staying in a hotel room, so they have to be better. I called and asked for two units close to the children's pool and playground, since we will have little ones. We were given two units across the hall from each other in Building #3.
Can anyone tell me if this building is close to children's activities? Is there one bed in the bedroom or two? Are there washers/dryers on each floor?
Anything else we should know on our first trip there. Thanks in advance for your help. The kids are soooo excited about this.

Building 3 is one of the older buildings and I believe that it is located near the pool as shown in the pictures of the site. The 'B' units are much better than a hotel room and there are washer/dryers on each floor. Some of the newer buildings have a washer/dryer the room but I wouldn't expect it as Vacation Village at Parkway doesn't state that they will be in the 'B' units.

This URL, http://www.dailymanagementresorts.com/Resort.aspx?resort=5, should give you an indication of the unit and the amenities.

Enjoy your vacation:clap:

We stayed there in April and had a suite with both the A and B units. We were in Bldg 11, but if the pool arrrangement at Bldg 3 is similar, there was a large pool, a kiddie pool and a spa. The B unit had a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. The partial kitchen had a full size refridgerator and a microwave. No range. It also had a washer/dryer in the unit. Not sure about the washer/dryer in the B units in Bldg 3. Hope this helps.

Bonnie - I have a copy of the resort map/layout. If you'd like me to e-mail it to you I'd be happy to. In looking at the map bldg.3 is opposite one of the large pools, with a kid's pool next to it. The play area (small climbing structure, slide) is in between bldg 4 & 5. Just down the street from VVP is Old Town (www.old-town.com) with various rides & shops, many aimed at kids.
Have a great trip.

The B-side is certainly better than a hotel. I stayed in the B-side last February and was pleased with it. Most of my time was outside the resort anyway and I just slept there and watched a little TV. Enjoy!

VVP is pretty responsive to guest requests. I would specifically ask to be changed to Building 5 or 6. If they can do it, they will (although they do have specific check-in days in certain buildings, so it may not be possible). You'll be fine in Building 3, but if you could get 5 or 6, you'd be better yet. Buildings 1 through 6 are all in the same location, but 5 and 6 are the newest in that section.

Thanks everyone for your help, especially the map of VVP. I called to get us moved but Building 6 is Saturday check-in only and we are coming in on Friday. The rep I spoke with said that Building 5 was the same age as Building 3, so I just left it alone. I really appreciate throwing a question out there and having so many nice people try to help me. This is a great resource.

I'm not sure the rep is right about Buildings 3 and 5 being the same age. The buildings, I believe, were constructed in pairs with each pair sharing an elevator bank. Buildings 5 and 6 are such a pair, so they were most likely built concurrently, and are definitely the newest of the original six.

In any event, I imagine Building 3 will be fine. I just personally prefer newer when I can get it.

Have fun!

Cindy
