HCC--# of properties added in past 12 months

12 months ago HCC was at 100 members, now AT about 250.
So 150 new members in 12 months. How many new properties have been added in that time period?

According to Heath at HCC, here is what he said:

We have added approximately 150 new members and 20 to 21 properties in the last 12 months.

It’s important to remember that from an operations standpoint, Affiliate members are considered 1/2 a member and Associate members are 1/3 of a member. It takes 2 affiliate and 3 associate members to equal one affective member per our ratio.

So, we added 150 new members but affectively it was closer to 120-130 new members, which puts us at a member to property ratio of 6.0-6.5.

It's important to note that the importance of "member to property ratio" is quickly being replaced with occupancy ratios and availability ratios in most DCs. After all, as a member I don't care how many other members there are, I only care that I can get the HCC Arrowhead Ski property for President's day! HCC now has enough reservation history to allow it to evaluate reservation patterns and property use history. I predict that, as a result, you'll see HCC use that information to purchase properties to enhance availability instead of just buying properties at interesting travel points on the map. The recent addition of second properties at Playa Del Carmen and Tuscany are examples of that.
