Golf in Williamsburg

I was wondering if anyone had information regarding the cost of Golf in Williamsburg. I am staying at the Greensprings Plantation and was wondering if they offer special rates on golf . What courses would you recommend for an average golfer and some teenagers that also like to golf . Any information would be appreciated.

Golf isn't ultra expensive in Williamsburg in the summer, but it could easily go up to $200 for a foursome.

Greensprings is affiliated with Williamsburg National (a nice course), and guests do get a discount. This web site shows rates. I'm not sure if your kids are "juniors", but the resort rate is noted.

If you don't want to spend a lot and want a nice public course, try Deer Run at Newport News Park.

I second the Deer Park recommendation. Also, check with your resort- many offer packages.

We were at Greensprings two years ago.The Williamsburg course did offer nice rates to the guests. I think it was 55 first round, 44 second round, 33 third round and 22 for the rest of your stay. Just tell them you are staying there. You may want to even call them before you go, things can change.

I haven't played their recently, but a friend of mine has, and he said that Greeensprings National is not in very good shape. He was very disappointed in the playing conditions. Maybe the reason for the discounts.
