hurricane season travel insurance?

I'm going to Harborside Atlantis in September. Using my timeshare week and frequent flyer miles to FL. Should I purchase travel insurance simply because it's hurricane season? I never have before. I only need to purchase it for me because I'm going with friends, not family. It looks like some companies cover natural disasters. Thoughts?
