Early August - Which Lake ts in PA, NY or NC??? - Timeshare Users Group Online Community Forums

Hi.

Am planning a one-week trip with sister and 2 kids under age 7. We're trying to decide between Lake Harmony in PA, Lake Lure in NC and Lake George in NY (which looks impossible to get, so probably not really an option).

Want a resort where we can walk around outside, take hikes, go to the lake, be in the mountains, have kid activities, use swimming pool, etc.

Anyone have any recommendations? I love the LAKE settings. We've gone to Massanutten, which doesn't have a lake and is too hilly to walk w/ stroller.

I'd recommend Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC. The lake is pretty small, but it has everything else you're looking for. Trades through both II and RCI.

Have you looked into Treasure Lake in DuBois, PA. Silverwoods is the name of the timeshare #2075 - RCI. It has two lakes, boat rental, club house, 2 golf courses and many trails to hike. It is very woodsy and lots of activities going on during the day. You must have a car to get around the resort as the area is very large. The units are not GC but are spacious and clean. They have all recently been referbished and are lovely.

You might want to consider Lake Placid, NY if you are looking to trade in. Lake Placid was the site of TWO winter Olympic games. Great location with TONS to do. No pool but access to beach across the street on Mirror Lake.

2009 would be your best bet to trade there at this point.

We love the area.
