Massanutten Resort Hotels ????
Can anyone give me some info. on the hotels located on the massanutten property? We would like to visit this resort to consider our 1st timeshare purchase since we live somewhat close ( Delaware ) and it seems to have alot of activities for our 2 young children.....We tried to rent a few nights in august but were told the resort was full and then forwarded to the timeshare sales dept.......the sales lady informed us they have hotel rooms for guests doing the tour.....We would NEVER buy retail so the tour is not a problem for us....Are the hotels rooms any good ( we not that picky, but want something clean for our kids )???? Would it be wise to stay here or book in Harrisonburg ( alot of choices) and visit for a day or two??? Do you need to stay on-site to use the water park..or is it for guests only.....Thank-you in advance......

I see in the classified section, a couple of rentals. One is in July and the other in August. This way you would get a feel for the timeshare experience and be a part of the resort. The accommodations would be superior to the hotel room and probably cheaper

Hotel Units...
I stayed in the hotel units in Sept '06 with 3 other adults. I was there for a timeshare presentation (turns out I was sent the wrong kind of promo) and we fit okay in there -- it's just a hotel room with 2 double beds, small table with 2 chairs, small fridge and micro plus balcony. You'll only be in there to sleep and shower and all other times you will be outdoors doing something.
It's clean and well worth it to stay there. |

Massanutten allows the public to use The Waterpark, The Go Cart Track and The Fareways Restaurant. The hotel rooms at Massanutten are nice, convenient and some-what comptetitive. You can get a better price in Harrisonburg, but the ride back and forth gets old very fast. If you are staying for one night and plan to make one trip to the Mountain, it makes very little difference. I concur with Jamerican71 on the accommodations.
