We are looking at the Easycruise I that tours classical Greece. The price of course is right and the itinery looks wonderful. I can't find much is the way of reviews of the accomodations. If anyone has done an Easycruise either in Europe or the Caribbean, I would appreciate any feedback that you could provide. thanks is andvance

I have not taken an Easycruise, but I don't think I would want to. There airline will get you from A - B with no frills, but it is not the sort of company I would associate with holidays. Please bear in mind it would be like if Jet Blue or Northwest started offering cruises. There prices do not include meals or many of the entertainment options. And the cabins are functional (think Motel 6 in bright Orange).

Carnival feels like the Queen Mary 2 in comparison.

If you don't mind a bare bones box to sleep in and a NO frills atmosphere, it can be cheap. Sort of like a youth/elder Hostel at sea. :)

BTW,Northwest and Jet Blue are first class compared to Easy Jet.

Cheers

Loved easyCruise!

Did an easyCruise of the Caribbean last March, and loved it! Cabin prices were great (Greece costs more, though, but still a great deal, especially if you hit a sale), food prices were reasonable, and we loved the ports we visited and the fact that we had so much time there. We also loved that the ship was so small, and didn't overwhelm the ports with tourists. People on the boat were very low-key and friendly, and many were middle-aged. I think the European cruises have younger passengers and more of a party atmosphere, though. The orange color scheme has been toned down from what it was originally.

Our only problem was some sea-sickness when the boat was moving. However, the Mediterranean should be calmer, plus we seemed to just have bad luck in that we hit rough seas. Also, our cabin was at the front of the boat, deck 5, so it moved more than cabins towards the middle.

For extra space, we reserved a quad cabin even though there were only two of us. There are a few large quad cabins with a sofa & lots of floor space, which is what we were assigned. So, we had plenty of room. The double cabins are teeny -- not much room for luggage.

We hope to do an easyCruise again next winter.

I have looked at their canal cruises in Holland and Belgium. Great prices! And the schedules seems to have the boat in port most of the day, and travelling at night. That way, you can eat onshore if you wish.
