Haven't been there in a few years, but it was lovely when last we went.

And there are many interesting restaurants in the area.

Have fun.

A nice base of operations for the White Mountains. Take a drive up the Kancagamus- bring a swimsuit and join the locals in the river. Don't miss Clark's Trading Post-get seated early for the bear show. Some people like the Common Man for dinner- my one experience was not very favorable. There's another restaurant within walking distance in the shopping center across the street that's just OK. For Ice cream there's a little take out just a bit before you get to the Hobo Railroad entrance that is quite good. Take a look at the Flume and the Basin and take a trip over to loon and take the tram up the mountain. Lots more to do- stop at the visitor center and check out what;s available.

Does anyone know hwat he weather would be like here Mid/late October. Looking for an exchange in the notheast form Oct 14-21 and so far this resort and the Marriott in New Jersey are the only places that show avaialbility in II for the dates I need.

Resorts: Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, VT. Vistana Beach Club, Jensen Beach, FL. Mountainside Resort, Stowe, VT.
I have not been to New Hampshire in Mid-October but I would assume it is similary to Mid Vermont or Northern NY (Adirondacks).

October 14-21 is past peak for the leaves. It can also be quite chilly and rainy. The RCI book says the average high for New Hampshir in October is 61.

I would think the weather at the Seaview Marriott would be a little warmer. According to the RCI book, the average high for New Jersey in October is 66.
Plus, the leaves in Jersey would be at peak (not that you get the mountain vistas like you would in New Hampshire).

FWIW:

Do you realize that if you go at this time you will probably have missed the peak foliage by a week or so ? (unless it's very late this year)

I went for a long weekend last year on the 13th, and not only was it past peak but 90% of the leaves were on the ground.

Hi, have not been to the resort but the location is good for sightseeing. GO up to the White Mtns and head to North Conway area, lots to see, you can go up to Mt. Washington, shop, take a train ride around the scenery, golf if you like, see the famous Mt Washington hotel... lots of eateries around as well as outlet shopping. The Kangamangus (sp) highway is also great for sightseeing the countryside... weather can be funny, it can be very warm or cool... bring a jacket or sweater, sweatshirt for the evenings, long pants, shorts, a little of everything or watch the weather forecast during that time period... the leaves may have already reached their peak as they peak earlieru up in NH, sometimes early Oct... but still pretty and scenic.
