Opinions about Waterside by Spinnaker and HHI - Timeshare Users Group Online Community Forums

I have a 3 bedroom 3 bath on hold at Waterside by Spinnaker for next week on a last minute deal. I have never visited Hilton Head before and want opinions on taking my 3 boys-10, 7, and 3. How far is the walk to the beach? Are there shuttles at Waterside to take you to the beach? Are the units one level? Stairs can be an issue with the 3 year old. I looked at the floor plan and they appear to be one level but some of the reviews mentioned some of the units having a bedroom upstairs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We just got back. Pool is fabulous (we had toddlers and love it there b/c of the great pool), plus they have a kiddie waterplay-pool area (you have to ask where it is--not by main pool). Unit are big, clean, and nicely furnished. 3 BR has 2 King Master suites and 3rd BR wtih twin beds and fold-out sofa.
Only issue would be the units in bldg #1, labeled 5100, 5102, etc. They are older townhouse style units with stairs up to the door, then the 3rd BR inside is upstairs---but you can easily block access to those stairs. with a babygate (or even a cooler). All others are in 5 story bldgs with elevator, all 1 level.
There is a shuttle that runs to/from beach every hour. Or you can walk down a shaded back road 5 blocks and get to a more private beach area. Putt-putt is right across the street.
We have seen and stayed in a lot of HHI timeshares and this is about our favorite.

This resort is GREAT for kids!!..... Wonderful pools, and every child seemed to having FUN! Lots of activities for children...You will love it!

Yes, I thought a very nice resort. It's kinda tucked away off the main drag. It's a good looking resort. The accomodations were very nice... Can walk down the street to restaurants with live music if you like. The pool area was very nice also.

Get bikes delivered right to the parking garage. They'll lock them right to the bike racks for you and pickem up when you leave. The bike paths are great around HHI
