Hawaii Request - odds of getting - trade II

I put in a trade request for a 2 bedroom for Hawaii next summer at two resorts. I want a 2 bedroom. My time span is over about 8 weeks. I am trading a 2 bedrom DSV I during Red time (Spring Break). What do you think my chances of getting are? Would I have a better chance of splittling the unit and trying for a 1bed and lockoff during the same week?

I just got a trade into MOC for 4th of July week using a Marriott. That being said, MOC does not have a large supply of 2 beds but Waiohai and Ko Olina do. I'm not an expert on this but I would think you would have a good chance if you chose one of the later 2. I'm sure some others will comment also.

We received 2 back to back weeks in a 2-BR at KoOlina last summer (2006), using our Manor Club and also our OceanWatch in Myrtle Beach. We placed our request July, 2005 and got our exchange 6 months later, Nov., 2005. So it can be done.

Did you get a 2br @ Maui Ocean Club? IF so, what did you use to trade in & how early did you put in the request?

Depends on what the resorts are. Being about 11 months out and pretty flexible my guess is that you have a really good chance of getting MKO, MAW & MKW, but MMO is still a long shot.

We got an exchange to the Waioha once and loved the resort. Ko-olina should be no problem either but I don't know about Maui because so many people lock off the units. We didn't go during the summer vacation so that improved our chances quite a bit. When do you want to go?

PS. I read your message again and believe that you will have a better chance doing this. Not a bad idea if you want to go to Maui. I assume that is where you want to go.

we got a 2 bedroom and traded this years waihai since we could'nt use this year.
