Private Boat Charters
I liked all the advice about sources for cruises. Does anyone have experience chartering a private boat while on vacation? We are going to Hawaii this fall and want to try something special. I found http://www.yachtchartershawaii.com for private yacht rentals on Oahu. Does anyone have experience with this type of adventure?

I don't have any experience with yachts but did do a day long charter trip in Alaska, just the captain (and his lady friend) and us (hubby and me). It was great to have such a small and intimate opportunity to explore the sealife of Prince William Sound that way.
I understand that BlueGreen now has an affiliate program for their owners where they can rent yachts in a "shared time" type of deal, where couples (one, two or three) split the cost of the operation. The prices I saw were between $350 and $700 per person depending on the total number on the sail.
