Sooo many resorts! Can someone recommend an ocean front resort with a nice kids program? Thanks. We are looking to rent a 3bdrm unit week 34.

Resorts: Marriott Ocean Watch
Can't comment on a three bedroom, but if you can make due with a 2 bedroom and a pull out sofa I highly recommend Marriott Ocean Watch.

Pup: Is it absolutely necessary that you be beach front? As you mentioned there are many, many wonderful resorts in Myrtle Beach but not many are on the beach. Sheraton Broadway Plantation would be my recommendation since there are so many things to do within a short distance from this resort. Broadway at the Beach is within a half mile with shops, entertainment, restaurants and a theater. The beach is approx. one mile away but the swimming pools and the lazy river at the resort are so nice. There is also a large indoor pool for rainy days. The layout and care of this resort also makes it worthwile. The units are clean, quiet and spacious. Have a great vacation but I suggest you check out the Sheraton Broadway Plantation before you make your final decision.

Places in Myrtle Beach

I just got back from Myrtle Beach and am always on the lookout for nice places (the kids love mini golf).

I looked at the Sheraton and the units are very nice. It is a large resort with more being built. I am not a big fan of crowds and the pool area was a little too packed for my taste. If you want amenities on site and large newer units then this might be one of your best bets.

I have also stayed in a three-bedroom at Presidential Villas Plantation and enjoyed the units there (we had a first floor unit and were able to feed the turtles and geese outside which was a big hit with the kids). Again, it is not on the beach but offers comfortable, large units and several pools.

I've stayed at the Marriott and can say that it wins hands down. Units are beautiful, it is on the beach and there are plenty of amenities. It isn't an easy exchange.

I just stayed at the Club Regency and loved the location- direct ocean front. There are no kids programs and the pool is small. The units are 2 and 3 bedrooms and are nice.

I've also stayed at the Ocean Forest Colony and would not recommend it. Units are dirty and had loads of bugs.

I've exchanged into Riptide II and cancelled the exchange when I arrived (that's how nasty it was).

I have heard that the Fairfield is nice but I can't speak from experience.

HTH!

Often overlooked, the Yachtsman has a wonderful activities program. It's an older resort but well kept up. The rooms are a little small but I like it there. shaggy
