Does anyone have any luck getting flight info on US Airways website? Everytime I attempt to get prices I fill in the info, click search, get an hour glass and then nothing.

I don't want to spend an extra fee to book through Expedia but don't know how to get it to give me a price.

Thanks.

Anne

it works for me, just booked a flight for Florida yesterday

Worked for me and I ended up with three different confirmation numbers for the same flights!!

Called and waited to get to talk to an agent and hopefully have it resolved.

US Air/America West have the worst on time record of all major airlines. Be prepared.

I just booked a US Air flight to Savannah because Delta was double the price. The US Air website is very frustrating. It was very slow. When I was at the point to pick seats, it would not allow me to pick a seat for my husband. So I confirmed without him having a seat assignment, figuring I could go back and change it after the reservation was set. I tried to do that. The website shows that I do not have any itineraries. The only way I could find my flight was to put in the confirmation number. Did that, and again tried to select a seat. Still would not allow me. So I called US Air, and spoke to a very abrupt representative. He told me that the seat next to me was booked, Row 5, and that he had to put me in the back of the plan for the next available 2 seats together. I argued with him that the seat next to me is open according to online, as was the one I had just picked for myself. He did not want to hear it. Whatever. I told him to just put us in 2 seats next to each other. I then go online, and my original seat in row 5, and the seat next to where I was are open. What the Heck! I tried to change it online. I was able to select those seats, but it would not save them. The moral of the story, the US Air website is a pain in the neck.

and my original seat in row 5, and the seat next to where I was are open. .

Just curious, are you an elite flyer with US Airways? When I book on United, the middle seat next to my selected seat always appears full online. There is no way of knowing if someone is really there or if they're saving it to have more space for elite flyers. It took me a little while to figure out what they were doing. I always thought it odd that someone would pick a middle seat next to someone when there were open seats all around me.

No, I am not an elite flyer. Also, the plane is small. There are only 2 seats on each side. Also, the elite seats are marked off, designating them from available seats.

If you booked your seats online you should be able to change it online, unless the seats are in the Exit Row or they are reserved for preferred flyers. USAirways allows travelers to check in for flights as early as 24 hours prior to the time of the flight. At that time they allow you to pick any seat except the Exit Row. At that time you can try to get two seats closer to the front of the plane.

Pam, thank you so much. It worked. The downside is that the flights cost more than I thought. Back to Southwest.
