This basically means that 2000 employees from the old Trendwest HQ in Redmond will be moving to Orlando.

That must be cotraveler's site?

Unfortunately this is even bigger than what was rumored earlier this year :(.
All in the name of progress I guess.

It is sad to see it all move to the East Coast....will make it even harder to attend Board Meetings in the future.

Trendwest/Cendant/Wyndham can't be that bad...or can it?

I am shocked to see such negative comments about Ma-Wyndham! What is this world coming to????

Huh???? Not understanding your post....I said I thought it sad, not negative. It's always sad to see people lose jobs or have to move to keep them - no matter who you work for. It happened to me once and once was enough...

I'm sure owners on the east coast must think it's great.

The info on his site is no more interesting or informative than what I find on the online Destinations, wmowners.com, Redweek, or even here on TUG.
It's just a blog from an owner that presents his opinions. I used to read his blog when he first started, but quit when he would lock the threads after rebuttal responses from other owners that he didn't agree with.

Kapish you kill me!

and if Reservations move, we lose 3 hrs of trying to reserve a vacation. It's that way with Starwood and that 'sucks'

Cathy,
I hadn't thought about that...THAT...WOULD be a bummer.

Robert
FYI -
I think even TUG locks threads that go off topic - it has nothing to do with not agreeing with someone's opinion (or in this site's case the facts) - they just need to stick to the thread subject is all.

Sometimes ya just need to get over it and move on...

I LOVE the quotes from Wyndham talking about owners wanting to add more (they do) and how the timeshare world hasn't been affected by the real estate slump. Of course not! When you lose 70% or more of your purchase price the minute the 10 day rescind period runs out how much more of a "slump" could there be?

How on earth Wyndham continues to sell at the outrageous retail prices they ask is a mystery to me. As any owner should know you could easily buy 3 to 4 times as many points if you want them resale or simply pay 1/10 of retail for whatever amount you want. Yet it appears they continue to rope in the suckers as if resale didn't even exist. It's sad really but great for buyers sharp enough to do their homework.

"How on earth Wyndham continues to sell at the outrageous retail prices..."

timeos2,

I think you'll find the prices outrageous with any timeshare selling retail, not just Wyndham - it's a given.

Watch it John! You have strayed off topic and might get us busted.

Holy cowskis! A Cabobill sighting!
I'm not afraid of you unlocking the woodshed, I'm afraid of you sending your little mafia mama after me!

Silly man... I don't have to send the Mamacita ANYWHERE! She can just turn to the East, mutter her secret little curse, and you're TOAST!:bawl:
