I am in the process of buying a 1 bedroom premium 2 weeks gold period for $64000.00.
I am hoping I am doing the right thing, I need seasoned timesharers to give me the info re deeded purchase.
I have 5 in my family I have to purchase 2 rooms when ever I go away at a cost of $14000.00 each time.
The reason for my purchase was it made financial sense, however every financial adviser says stay clear.

Would really like your honest opinions, we live in England and love holidaying in the bahamas.

You can buy the exact some thing resale, at a fraction of the cost. If you are still within the recission period, you should rescind immediately, following the instructions in your contract exactly. Then come back here, do your homework, take your time, and make a purchase with no pressure.

In general, to rescind, you have to send a registered letter, US mail, stating that you rescind and want a full refund - be sure you confirm this with the info. in your purchase pkg.

Harborside is part of the Starwood (westin & Sheraton) Vacation network SVN. The TS there are in very high demand. If you want to vacation there, buy a resell TS there and save tens of thousands of dollars vs buying from the developer. So don't buy from starwood until you research your options of buying resale

Before buying anywhere, take at least a week or more to learn all you can before buying. You should start with the starwood advice article link and also Timeshare 101 link

Good Luck and welcome to TUG

PS I moved this thread to the hotel board were most of the discussion of the SVN takes place.

I agree with resale. I was there last weekend (Royal Towers, not Harborside) and the place was incredible.

Definitely recind and buy resale.

Is there some reason why a two-bedroom doesn't work for you? I would think the maintenance fees would be a lot lower. Also it is my understanding that you can have five in the premium one-bedroom. We also have three kids and this is what we intend to do if we can't trade into a two-bedroom.
