Can you reserve a week at the Tortuga Club followed immediately by a week at the Grand?
 
Ask RCI to make sure (assuming that's who you'd be trading thru), but I'm 99% sure that yes, you can do that - 1-in-4 rules allow for consecutive weeks during the same year.
 
cannot book Tortuga one year and Grand the next

That is right, you can do back to back weeks within the same year, just not one week in one this year and the other the next year.
 
I called RCI and after being put on hold for several minutes was told I could not do consecutive weeks. After checking the RCI Guide said that the Grand and Tortuga club were considered the same resort in regards the 1 in 4 rule.
 
I spoke to Morritts and they referred me to Global Resorts Management who do their reservations and I was told that consecutive weeks were OK.
