Can anyone tell us the best unit to ask for at Grand Beach.

We have 4 small children and a double stroller.

We reserved 3 bedroom and 3 bath.

Thanks.

Get there early

Grand Beach in Orlando is nice resort, but we have had housekeeping issues.

My advise is to get there early and check the room before you load your stuff out of the car. We looked at 3 units the last time we were there before we found one that was clean. I am not talking about "sparkling clean" either. We thought one was fine and I checked the dishes and they had food on the dishes and the floor was filthy. Enough for me to request another room. When we had been in 2 rooms that were not as clean as they should be, the resort manger went with us to the last room and it was clean.

The resort staff was good and I think it is just hard to find good cleaning staff in Orlando. It is a fairly large resort and each building is fine, you will like the lay out and your family will have plenty of room.

please tell me what time is early for check in?

they say 4 pm for check in, so do you mean show up then or try to do it before 4 pm?

The rooms sound nasty, not too encouraged.

It is a nice resort

I did not intend to give the impression that the rooms are "nasty" , the resort manager was concerned and we did get a clean room.

I would recommend showing up around 3 and look at your room first. In some areas of Florida, good housekeeping staff is hard to find. Many times the resorts end up using a housekeeping service instead of direct hired staff. This is true of areas like Orlando and the Keys. In, Orlando the unemployment rate is so low, that it is a very tight job market. So, it is hard to find housekeeping staff. But, the room layout is good and I got the impression that the resort staff would fix any problem that arose.

We always check the room, even if it is a Hyatt, Hilton or Marriott - even the best timeshares can have rooms that are not inspected. Grand Beach is a fairly large resort, so I would not worry about it. Your room will be fine and you will have a nice vacation.
