The Lost Colony located in Manteo, NC was 90% destroy by fire today.

How terrible. I went to this for many years when vacationing in the OB.

My kids really enjoyed the experience and we all thought that it was a great top off to a summer day.

How did the fire occur?

I love The Lost Colony. I first went there when I was a young boy living in Virginia. In 2004, I went back and saw the show again. It was awesome. I am very sorry that they had a fire. I hope the theatre will be rebuilt. The show must go on!!!

That's unfortunate. I hope they have adequate insurance. At least it was the end of the season, and they have time to rebuild before next year.

The unfortunate part was that most of the costumes were destroyed. We went twice, the first time we were rained out by a lightning storm and the second time we were able to watch the whole show. We really enjoyed it. Even though we don't have plans to go back to the outter banks in the next few years, I hope that they are able to rebuild quickly.
