Never having been down the shore before, I decided to take Marriott up on their $99 offer. Its a bit off-season but I guess I can head over to A.C. for fun and eats.

Anyway, I wanted to know how much Marriott bugs you during the weekend. Obviously the deal comes with a 120-minute presentation which I can deal with having done the odd timeshare presentation before. But will they harrass me outside of the presentation or will I actually be able to enjoy my time there?

I don't know about the presentation, but I'm from South Jersey and this time of year is wonderful at the Jersey shore.

Go to the beach - the crowds are gone and the water is warmer in September than in June or early July. And if you like to bike ride, most towns lift their restrictions and you can ride on the boardwalks all day (rentals available right off the boardwalks).

Also, look around this site because there is a thread somewhere on good places to eat near MFV.

I have only been to MFV once and that was to watch the LPGA ShopRite Classic a few years back and I didn't stay at the resort, just walked inside to look around. It was very nice and the golf course (think there are 2) was also very nice.

In answer to your question, we did the preview there and it was very low key. In fact we decided to buy at OW and we had to track down the salesman. You will be able to enjoy your time there without being harrased. Just tell them from the beginning that you are not interested in buying.
