1st Which Year's Pts Am I Using?

HGVC Newbe here working on my 1st reservation:
1. If I make a reservation in 2007 for a stay in 2008, do the points come off my 2008 allotment or will I be using my 2007 points?
2. Can I "borrow" points from 2009 now, to make the 2008 stay do-able?

1) You will be using your 2008 points for the 2008 reservation, unless you had previously banked your 2007 points into 2008.
2) Yes, you can borrow 2009 point now for your 2008 reservation. I just did that a few days ago for a June 2008 reservation.
