Hi,My mother inlaw was contacted by this CO Global resort management about renting her timeshare in Orlando..Has anyone had any deals with them? FYI they want $800 upfront guaranteed to rent,no contract, money back..Blah Blah Blah..I've told her not to do it for the fee..but she says they told her they have business people that come to the area and have more exposure..So I wanted to post here so anyone can respond so she can see from you..not me..lol thnxs hope to hear from you good or bad..Rd

It is a scam, just like any other company that wants money upfront.

Definitely a scam. Would she give me $800 if I called her and made the same promise? I hope not! These upfront-fee companies come and go and change their names, but the result is always the same.

Of the hundreds and hundreds of people who have reported here of making similar upfront fees in an effort to buy or rent their timeshare, there has not been a single confirmed report of a successful transaction resulting from such a payment.

And if they guarantee her money back if they don't rent it for her, forget it. She won't get a refund!

If she really wants to rent, she should read and follow the advice in the "how to rent" article located at the top of the list of topics for this Buying, Selling, Renting forum.

There are two Globals in FL

Their is a second Global Resort Management which is the management company for the Morritts Resorts of Grand Cayman. The two are unaffiliated and in different cities and lines of timeshare work.

But the Morritts GRM has a terrific bunch of folks...
